Big Announcement & Exciting Updates
Hello Nostos Community,
We have a few really big updates coming up that will be launching this September! Some of these will have a mild impact on a few of our systems, but many of these updates bring a bunch of benefits to you.

New Clinic Management Software
We have officially launched our clinic software system! If you've worked with any other para-healthcare practitioners, you've likely already encountered the Jane App.
Some of the best benefits you'll get from Jane:

Much easier online booking

Central account hub where your receipts are stored and can be downloaded (we will still send you receipts at your regular visits)

Linked family accounts

There is one slight catch with the Jane App- you will continue to receive appointment reminders via text, but you will receive those from Jane's generic number. THAT number system is NOT a two-way texting system (ie. you will not be able to message that number to book or move appointments).
HOWEVER, our CLINIC NUMBER (587-391-8611) will remain a 2-way texting system. We're encouraging our patients to save our phone number as a contact in your phone, so that we're easy to find when you need to book or reschedule your appointments.
If you add Nostos Chiro as a contact in your phone and show that to the front desk, you'll be entered into a draw to win a free massage or some of our ceramics! Next time you're at the clinic, pull out your phone for a chance to win.

Direct Billing For Massage Therapy!?
Over the years, we have had MANY requests for direct billing. With our old software, it just wasn't an option. But with our new system, it is possible!
Starting soon, we will be offering direct billing for Massage Therapy Services!
You will be able to apply your personal benefits to our services, like massage therapy, or any other adjunctive therapies we add to our roster.

Between setting up our new clinic software and direct billing systems, we anticipate a few speed bumps over the next couple of months. We kindly ask for your patience as we work out the bugs :)
Ocean's Big Exciting News & 50/50 Raffle
In case you didn't know, Ocean is pregnant! She is due on January 7. We are holding a 50/50 raffle in support of her. Each ticket is $10. For each ticket, you get to guess the date baby will arrive, and baby's weight! The person who guesses the correct date (and the closest weight) will win 50% of all the collections to our raffle- the other 50% goes straight to Ocean and Brandon.

Additionally, we are collecting contributions for a Nostos gift. 100% of your contribution will go toward buying Ocean, Brandon & Baby something special!
At the moment, we don't have a firm date for when Ocean will be going on maternity leave, so get in with her while you can! We are taking pre-bookings with her from now until the end of the year.
​New Massage Team Members
We've recently welcomed two new massage therapists to our team: Michaela & Phi.
We're excited to add them to our team, as each bring their own unique perspective and offerings to our community!
Michaela offers a unique style of massage, blending techniques including relaxation, myofascial, joint mobilization, cranial-sacral, visceral, neuromuscular, hot stone, sports massage, and therapeutic work.
Phi puts a big emphasis on recovery, relaxation, performance and therapeutic work with his massage therapy. He uses Swedish, therapeutic, deep tissue and instrument assisted techniques.

Acupuncture at Nostos? STARTING SOON!?
This Fall, we are REALLY excited to welcome Dr. Olivier Barre of One Hand Acupuncturist to our space!

Dr. Olivier & One Hand Acupuncturist is relocating to our space. We have been happy to refer to Dr. Olivier for his expertise. With over 14 years in practice, and he has developed several unique focuses: muscular injuries and rehab, sports performance, fertility, and skin (skin conditions and facial rejuvenation).
In addition to practicing for 14 years, Dr. Olivier also teaches at the Calgary College of Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture. ​

Expanded Chiropractic Hours
Some of our chiropractic shifts have been really busy, and we don't like to have to turn people down (especially when you're in need). We're happy to open up more times to suit your busy schedules. Starting in September, you'll find extra hours on Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons.
Our new schedule looks like this:

Nostos Chiropractic & Wellness Centre
With our fantastic new practitioners, and an invitation to others on the horizon, you may have noticed that we're growing beyond your standard chiropractic clinic. "Nostos Chiropractic" will continue to exist and serve you at the level you're accustomed to. However, we feel that the brand needs to evolve to reflect the amazing talents of all our team. We are becoming "Nostos Chiropractic & Wellness Centre" in celebration of all the ways that we can help people live healthier lives.
We're excited to end 2025 with all of these remarkable developments, and can't wait to see where this takes us in 2026!
